briere retiring and gonig to be honored by the flyers
i always liked him he was small but fiesty and clutch as fuck in the playoffs

After 17 seasons in the NHL, Briere couldn't convince himself to train this summer and get his mind and body ready for another season, just so he might be able to sign with a team willing to give him a minor role such as the one he had last season as a minimally used forward with the Colorado Avalanche.

Briere leaves the NHL at the age of 37 and 27 games shy of reaching 1,000 games played. He scored 307 goals and 696 points in 973 games with the Arizona Coyotes, Buffalo Sabres, Flyers, Montreal Canadiens and Avalanche. Briere also scored 116 points in 124 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

too bad he never won a cup a playoff performer like that deserves one

Just watched a video all his 30pts from 2010 playoffs. Glad I was able to meet him chat a bit and get my jersey signed by a great guy/player!

Still don't like the bad rap he got near the end of his career. No he wasn't the guy who dragged your team kicking and screaming into playoffs but once you were there he was a monster. Danny B was, imo, one of the best post season performers to ever not get a cup.

Flyers name Brady Robinson Goaltender Development Coach
http://flyers.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=777303

Robinson comes to the Flyers from the Victoria Royals of the Western Hockey League.
He is also a member of Hockey Canada's Goaltending Advisory Group.

Robinson brings over 19 years of coaching experience to the Flyers. He worked for the Goaltending Development Institute for 15 years (1996-2011) as the regional manager for British Columbia, working under GDI founder and current Columbus goaltending coach Ian Clark, as well as current Flyers goaltending coach Kim Dillabaugh, who served as Clark’s assistant.

good to see the new goaltending staff our old staff hasnt really developed anything in terms of nhl goalies

Defenseman Logen Pyett has signed a one-year AHL contract with the #Flyers organization, joining the @LVPhantoms.

Pyett was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the seventh round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, 212th overall. He also played for Canada at the 2008 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships winning the Gold Medal. On July 10, 2012
After two seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League with stints between Vityaz Podolsk, Admiral Vladivostok and Severstal Cherepovets, Pyett returned to North America, securing a one-year AHL contract with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on August 21, 2015.

straight forward ahl signing but maybe a they think can be a 7th d man or something?

well Hextall did mention yesterday that he expects some D prospects to start filling up the roster next season. So he's stacking on AHL dman (which could start in the ECHL) to fill up those holes.
