Looks like he's good at finding open ice / goal scoring ares with his stick on ice and has the skill and shot to finish

Yeah. Looks like he actually shoots instead of making silly passes when he's open.

Looked at Horvat's highlights. Seems like he goes to the dirty areas, scores in front of the net. Might be that type of playoff player that we need.




Chance both guys might not become what we think they may though (albeit that's the case for every prospect).

Shinkaruk takes advantage of open ice due to shitty defense in the lower levels which probably won't be available in the NHL. However, still looks like he gets open and knows where to go to score goals, so he should be okay.

Horvat may not have enough skill to be a #2 guy in the NHL. Worried he might top out as a 3C.




I don't know though, I know very little about prospects Just some quick thoughts based on 3-4 minute videos lol

I think I like Shinkaruk better than Horvat based off of videos.

I think Horvat will need to put on some more muscle to be able to play the same playstyle at NHL caliber.
