basically, they needed to come up with a plan to reduce 20-25% in traffic congestion. So ofc they come up with a genius plan, by charging drivers on average of $4-8 bucks daily. They're thinkin of doing it by zones or distance atm.
they charge more during AM peak times, then PM peak times, then cheaper on off peak times.

Of course being vancouver, where ppl are so busy living their own lives and are too busy to really pay attention to anything other than what to instagram jk, this plan will probably pass and then surprise butt secks everybody as per usual til it's a bit too late. Asked my friends, family, coworkers etc. and like literally only a handful of ppl had a clue on it, while the rest are just like huh? what's that? lol so u get the point. It's basically gonna be another "bend over take it up the ass" mentality.
Anyways, they say they'll offset those costs by reducing fuel taxes :rofl: but really... do I wanna save like $5 at the pump but end up paying like $200+ to go anywhere i want with my car? lol though hopefully this plan spreads like wildfire and ppl start making enough to noise so they dont continue with this shit plan.

so many ways they can fix traffic congestions, like efficient timing on traffic lights, more fuckin time for left turn signals (this is like the main reason there's traffic in first place), penalizing the bad shitty reckless drivers etc.
although none of this really matters cuz all the money they be making will be used so inefficiently, it's not even funny.

i think it'll ultimately be built since majority of the people in BC wants one or see the reasoning behind it, they're just not the loud vocal group.

I think all the other companies are using it as a distraction to get the LNG stuff up and running so once that's set up, trans mountain will be put in

i mean damn i knew when they got rid of those bridge tolls they gonna come up with another way of fuckin over, but this is beyond stupid.

if they wanna solve traffic congestion there are so many ways to prevent it from happening without charging ppl on daily for driving lmao.
-> create more efficient lanes, especially dedicated left turns.
-> make left turn signals last more than 5 seconds so more than fuckin 3 cars can turn left :rofl:
-> force city union employees to work during shitty hours when traffic is not busy when doing road maintenance/constructions
-> stop fucking making pedestrian lane crossings on the curb of the busiest street when 99% of cars are turning right, build a fuckin overpass if u have to
-> charge reckless, shitty, terribad drivers to a high premium to basically make them not wanna drive or learn to smarten the fuck up

^ any of this would easily solve "traffic congestion" issues imo but i guess tehy know they can make ez monies so fuk dat rite

-Tell people urban sprawl is bad because it leads to car dependency; they should bike or bus instead to save the planet
-Also tell people they can't build in low-density neighborhoods because developers are evil and apartments destroy their character (as opposed to 3-storey high homogeneous McMansions owned by "housewives" and "students")

Wanted to buy like a $12,000 Corolla, ended up with an almost new Mazda 3 lol

2018, it had just 81 KM on it lol

Wanted a temporary car but I guess I'll be using this one for a bit longer.
