my friends friend went to the gym at 400 lbs and couldnt even bench the bar, he was laughed at by both his friends and the rest of the gym. and why its hard to drop your ego? the biggest reason overweight people don't lift is becuase they're afraid of making mistakes since fit people absolutely hate overweight people and make fun of them (look at this subforum, reddit, etc)

you can walk, but your knees don't extend to same way they do as when you squat, thats why you blow out knees squatting with the wrong technique. if you do it right, its no problem, but you might lack the overall muscle build around the knees to squat properly, which is why you have to hit parallel to avoid uneven muscle building around the knees

squatting is a natural movement but its not very natural and its hard to balance when your gut is so massive

and when you're 350-400-450-500 you still need to build core muscles, and yo ucan do that through machines just as easily in an early stage

either you're exaggerating or his friends/gym is/are extremely retarded, i never saw someone laugh at me when i dropped weights on on one side or did twice the roll of shame while benching or when i had to use the safety bars because i failed my squats twice. anyway who the fuck cares. you have to give people permission to hurt your feelings, you are in control of your own thoughts.

why is it hard to balance?

when i started working out i hooked up with a PT and i had problems balancing the dumbells and had problems chest pressing even 45 lbs with dumbells, but after a few weeks i built those up and i could lift higher weights that i could outside of the gym environment - being a big guy and lifting shit that a guy 1/3rd of your size is rough

being fit (i'd classify you as fit) and doing roll of shames etc is a whole different thing than if you're overweight and do it. overweight people doing stuff is always "funnier" than when fit people do it - the fit person who did it know what they're doing and just tried a rep too much, the "fat" people should just stop working out anyway and learn how to do it before they try too much

i've hung around with both skinny and overweight people, and the skinny people always hate on overweight people, laughing at them wehn they exercise, when they run trying to catch a bus.

there's always great people around you that will help you at the gym, but being afraid of the one around you that's not is what causes most people to avoid gyms. the phobia and hatred against overweight people is similiar to xenophobia, chauvinism and other phobias towards people - the one that's the "miniority" or however you put it, will always see themselves as a victim and think the worst of peoples intentions and what people think about

you're currently saying that overweight people have the same starting point as normal weight people here

Basically I'm just saying that my body has adjusted to my current calories . Think about this – your body has adapted to survive on the calorie deficient diet you have been living on where it has coped by utilizing your fat stores for energy.

But I'm tired of cutting anyway . So after I fix up my maintenance calories I'm gonna bulk and not cut

I don't think you understand . Of my body has adapted to 1900 calories while being 6'1 and 160 lbs . It would not be healthy to eat say ... 1400 calories to continue losing weight . That's why you reverse diet in order to help this

if you want to gain weight you eat hamburgers and compliment it with necessary nutritional stuff elsewhere

1900 calories at 1900 and 6'1 160 seems low

to be honest, when you've got allergies and diseases, the common user isn't very suited to answer (i've got celiac's disease and people tell me stupid shit all the time lol)

can't you hook up with a dietician?

You guys all seem to have good diets.

I just eat whatever.

Maybe it is time for a change and it will result in faster achievement.
