If you're working for a company just answering with "hello" is pretty unprofessional depending on your job title.

You know you're a pleb if you don't have a secretary answering your calls for you anyway

the shop has its own hard line and so does the floral business

floral business has someone answer the phones before it gets to me, the shop line gets answered with the business name

also you're making an awful lot of assumptions.

im guessing you have never owned your own business/worked for a small business huh

McDonald's don't take orders on the phone though

Depends where you are I guess. McDonald's delivers in some places so keep taking those orders
