with the hawks winning the conditional 4th for timo meets all conditions and turns into a 2nd rounder
so we get 2 2nd round picks for timonen and he gets a chance at a cup on his way to the finals

sounds like umburger was hurt all of last season and is rehabbing from his surgery extremely well and is in some of the best shape hes been in for a while
thats good hopefully healthy and in good shape he can be more productive for us
"But following surgery to repair his right hip and bilateral abdominal areas on Mar. 19 one thing is certain - he’s not the same player from this past season."
" just to make it through the practice was an achievement, let alone be effective on the ice, so this is very encouraging and very exciting to know how well I feel right now and to attack summer and get ready for the season"

Timonen likely to work for Flyers after retiring: report
http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=771339&navid=nhl:topheads

I'm going to move back to Philly and stay there for a couple of more years, at least. Obviously, the Flyers have a special place in my heart. I had a great eight years there, and they have a really great organization.

"So if we can find something that can benefit both sides, obviously, I would be interested. I'll talk to [Flyers general manager Ron Hextall] when I get home and see what happens. I have no plans, really. I'm going to take my time. It's been a crazy 25, 30 years, so I want to take my time and really see what my next move [is]."

Hextall said that he and Timonen likely would meet to discuss a potential position with the Flyers.

"I haven't talked to him about it," Hextall said Tuesday. "That's one of those things -- I don't believe you talk to players until they're done (the Stanley Cup Playoffs). So once he gets back here, we'll sit down and talk, and we'll see which direction it goes."

would be awsome for him to come back in work in the organization

"This is a very critical draft for us," Hextall said Friday in a video on the Flyers website. "I think one of the more critical drafts in years. We've got to hit. We have to hit here. We do have a lot of picks and we have some holes to fill. We need to keep young players coming. So this is a critical point for us, that's for sure."

Because of the depth in talent, Hextall said it was unlikely he would try to move up from No. 7. He also said it was very doubtful he'd look to move down.

The Flyers' top four prospects are defensemen, but there is a chance one of the top three defenders in NHL Central Scouting's final ranking of North American skaters, Noah Hanifin of Boston College, Ivan Provorov of the Brandon Wheat Kings and Zachary Werenski of the University of Michigan, could be available.

If the Flyers elect for a forward, among the possibilities are Kingston Frontenacs left wing Lawson Crouse, Sarnia Sting center Pavel Zacha and right wing Mikko Rantanen of TPS in Finland.

"We've got some guys at 29 we're excited about,"

lmao they asked how he plans on picking hes like we get our list 1 through 7 and were going to get 1 of them

he also twweeted this
"Let's not make changes for the sake of making changes. Let's make changes to get better." -GM Ron Hextall

apaprently hextall and hakstoll went through the staff and debated on repalacing them but they both felt the guys they have work good
