So from what I understand, wings are looking for, in this order:

- A top-6 winger with grit
- A defenseman to take some of the physical game off of Kronner
- To trade "extra assets" (my guess means guys like Marchenko, Ferrarro, Andersson) to do so

Haven't heard anything about Jimmy leaving, Holland more or less said unless someone offers overpay he expects them to compete for the starter spot.

I doubt Jimmy gets moved. As far as Holland is concerned (I'd guess) nrasek is still unproven. And besides that, I'm sure he'd rather have an insurance policy in two goalies than "gamble" on one and a different backup.
But certainly would get a fair return for Howard.

I keep hearing mantha is on the table. Not sure how I feel about that. I don't meant that like I don't like it. I mean that as in, I'm not sure

I tend to believe there have at least been high level discussions about all of that. The wings have notoriously blacklisted media folk that put words in their mouths. She also said it's unlikely that they will do that because the value isnt there in Mantha and 19OA.

The past two years have been pretty enlightening prospect wise. There's a bottleneck with Smith, Kindl, omelette, marchenko, Sproul, and also with pulkk, mantha, athanasaiou, and ferrarro. Don't forget Blash has his experience in GR and may want some guys brought up. It's feasible. I mean hell he made two moves at the deadline to fit those needs.

Keep in mind there's a franzen sized hole in our roster. He made moves for Cole and Zidlicky and is letting them both walk.

I don't know why I go to the wings subreddit anymore. People are all in a tissy because it seemed as if Crawford was insulted that a reporter compared him to Ozzy. Supposedly the reporter wrote an article about how she meant "in terms of being underrated."

Of course he's gonna be insulted. Because the last 400 times he's heard that comparison it's been as an insult. Doesn't mean it should be, but that's kind of the gut check reaction when he hears it, so it's not exactly a travesty that he assumed the report was insulting him.

That sub almost makes me feel weird saying I'm a wings fan for fear of being associated for idiots like that. People seem to think Mantha + 19th overall + one of Ouellet/Marchenko/Smith can net us any defenseman in the league (exaggeration, but OEL, Seabrook, Phaneuf, and trading up to 3rd overall for Hanifin are thrown out a lot).

Honestly I think the wings fanbase may very well overvalue the team's prospects more than any other fanbase values its own.
