I don't get why people talk so much shit about Planet Fitness
If it's a place where the out of shape crowd can feel comfortable, why judge? Doesn't that then justify Planet Fitness' reasoning?

they feel comfortable because they give a lot of fast food and encourage people to eat crap. they also removed all their power racks which is fucking retarded considering you need this to do the 3 main compounds exercices without a spotter (bench is debatable)

if you're out of shape to the extent that the people i've seen on planet fitness (the people that get upvoted on reddit, so just the horrible examples), but i assume its for non-fit people, using machines is a better way than power racks to start with - you need to build up core strength and making people lift inside a power rack is unsafer unless you know the technique, but there's absolutely no need for a person that's going to planet fitness to use them since there's machine that helps you build up core strength without risking to break an already overcompensating back

seriously think my metabolism is a little fucked from cutting for so long. lets see where im at in 6 months. going to start increasing calories 100 a week .

This is about the same time of year I started my last bulk , a bit earlier. last time i went from 166-195 from august - september (big mistake)

Going to try for 161 to 175-180 (around there) in a YEAR this time.

metabolism is a bigger excuse for not gaining/gaining than fat people saying they're big boned or can't lose weight, the few times its actually relevant will get discredited

Basically I'm just saying that my body has adjusted to my current calories . Think about this – your body has adapted to survive on the calorie deficient diet you have been living on where it has coped by utilizing your fat stores for energy.

But I'm tired of cutting anyway . So after I fix up my maintenance calories I'm gonna bulk and not cut

if you want to gain weight you eat more, its that simple

your body adapts to eating 5000 calories a day, lets use that as an excuse to not cut :)

the compounds exercices are the BEST way to build core strength. and if you don't know how to do the proper technique, when will you know? you have to try it someday so why not when starting to go to the gym?

yeah, the compound exercises are the best, but you can emulate them in machines even if its inferior

remember that you already got someone at, lets say, 350 pounds. you're going to add another 100-150 pounds to that? welcome to knee blow out city
