"Worst kept secret in Red Wings history." Yeah, talk about an understatement. The fanbase knew a year ago that if Babs left, Blash was next. It was basically a situation where the only reason he took another year in GR was in case the wings job opened up.

Listening to some clips he has a great coaching philosophy. Work hard every day or you're gonna get passed by someone who does.

Turns out the ticket feedback was what I thought lol
They read more than a bunch of texts that all said "sounds like the wings just hired Babcock" lol

Every coach says that in the media but they all end up having favorites. And some favor veterans over young guys even if the young guys offer more now and in the future because they feel the veterans are "owed" something.

Born and raised in the Soo, five hours from bablocks hometown. I'm sure some of the inflections and the tempo of his speech are partly babcock influenced though.
