Linesman cannot call penalties, only majors. So because Wilson remained in the game and was given 2 minutes it makes even less sense IMO. I thought on the broadcast they said that Wilson got 2 for roughing after the whistle though which would make sense, maybe I misheard?
I just hope the reffing overall is better next game. The Reaves goal was ridiculous and shouldnt have counted, I understand putting the whistles away and letting them play but that's a play that has to be called. The game started to get dirty (Wilson hit) after they very clearly werent going to call penalties... you cant do that. The reffing this playoffs has been a mismash of "Put the whistles away" and "call phantom hooking/slash penalties". Crosschecks? NP boys
