if we trade provy im convinced were going into full on rebuild you cant trade a guy like that and win we have nobody to replace him and the best LD UFA is like nick leddy

if fletch trades provy im honestly done with this shit like at one point he had nick seeler the ahl call up as his partner and spent most of the season paired with braun AV literally devalued him and you want to trade him

ive seen rumours saying its too expensive to pay to ship out jvrs contract they should just buy him out get 2.7m cap space then next season only a 1.8 cap hit and hes gone
then trade lindblom which should be much cheaper then jvr and you freed up 5.7 to work with sure were not likely to get gaudreau with that but its something to work with and fill out the roster a bit
or trade jvr with like 40-50% retained 3-3.5 free up half his salary trade lindblom 6-7 free the less retained the more cap space for FA
if they want to go really hard in FA trade sanheim for picks/prospcts then your at like 10.5m and can try to get gaudreau and play york as the 2nd pair LD

always find it odd when they trade together after Battle of Ontario started in the 2000s

I know it's been years though

there's never really been a time when both teams were playoff teams since then. leafs had a big dark time without making the playoffs and then not much from Sens in the last little while lol.

Ottawa is definitely retaining on Murray, no idea what else we're going to give up but hopefully nothing major Also I'm sure Arizona is on his 10-team no trade list so it's really up to Leafs to save us and take him
