IMO it'd have to be the 6th + another very valuable piece and even then it doesn't really make sense for the Pens to do it. Just trade Fleury for a similar package and keep the much younger goalie.

As for that 6th pick, if there are no trades made, I guess Nylander would be a good fit for the Flames.

I think the Oilers will take Tkachuk and the Canucks will take Dubois.

Yep Benning today said they're talking a forward. It's been said many times that the Flames pick is up for grabs as well, but only the Oilers got a big headline and article for that I guess.

a swap between us would actaully make sense, best pick for flame is 4/5 th rated Tkachuk , nucks would grab Dubois since he really should go 4rth , oil gets a d-man.

Could work, but I don't know what we'd want to give up to move 2 spots, and to a rival. Besides I think your GM has big plans for a trade with your pick.

Yea deal between us is highly unlikely ofc as always.

I'm not convinced of big plans for out pick tho , if we had top 3 yes , but the return on the 4rth isn't worth it. More likely to trade active roster players for immediate d help and swap picks to move down a bit aiming for 1 of the d-men available ~6-8th.

Treliving I think has made it clear that his exit interviews with players played a big part in Hartley getting the can. Other former players are coming out against him too, for being too tough. Hiller said earlier this month that he didn't like him as a coach. Hartley is so slick with the press that I always thought his tough style was blown out of proportion, but I guess not. Oh well. RIP Hartley, you got the team working their asses off with countless comebacks last year, and contributed tons to Jonny and Monny's development. I still think the timing has everything to do with Boudreau being available, but then again Treliving keeps demonstrating that he keeps his cards very close to the chest, and we won't know what he's up to until it's done.
