Dont know if this will happen while franzen is out with concussion (or at all as a result of head injury) but rumor mill said wings have looked at a deal that involves Franzen for Edler (VAN).

I support this. Lets do it guys

You took samuelsson now take the mule.
@3.5 m cap hit a year, you wont mind his production. When healthy he can score some for ya and in playoffs he has shown that he can be the guy at least twice.

Wings need a puck moving defenseman albeit a right handed puck mover.

Might be something might be nothing but nj called up a 3rd goalie. There's been lots of speculation that Marty has asked for a trade so I wonder if he's headed to a team like the blues or the wild

Heard this too, that brodeur has been asked to waive his ntc.
Also saw on reddit that a trade involving Callahan is imminent.

The Anaheim Ducks, Boston Bruins and Detroit Red Wings are among the teams interested in Girardi, who is looking for a deal worth more than $5 million, per year, on his next contract.

Callahan has caught the attention of the St. Louis Blues and Vancouver Canucks, among others.

It has been widely speculated that the Capitals are looking to include goalie Michael Neuvirth in a package for Miller, and would have to include their first-round pick in either this summer's NHL Draft or in 2015.

McPhee is also in the market for a top-four defenseman and could try to acquire a second- or third-line energy forward.

New York Islanders defenseman Andrew MacDonald has attracted plenty of interest from numerous clubs, including Washington.

Forward Martin Erat and defenseman Dmitry Orlov, along with Neuvirth, requested to be traded this season, and McPhee is still trying to accommodate them.

Girardi would be a nice scoop for Detroit for sure. However, it is my opinion that we need an offensive defenseman and scoring forward.
Then again...we cant count on our D to shut anyone down anyways and Dekeysser is on the up and up in due time.

Washington should do everything in their power to win the Miller sweepstakes.

Girardi would put the Ducks over the top. As long as Lindholm , Vatenen, or Bonino aren't headed the other way.

It's believed St.Louis did ask #Lightning 4 trade when left off Canada. I'm told some #NHL clubs not sure if he still feels the same way now

larry brooks article regarding the callahan for st louis rumors suggests nothing doing.

i think it's really sad MSL would ask yzerman for a trade after being left off. it's an honour to even be in the DISCUSSION to be selected to team canada, let alone being picked.

With a guy as tenured as St. Louis, I won't believe he'd request a trade over something like that. His usage by Babcock pretty much proves he was a fringe candidate despite the scoring and I'm sure he's aware of it. There were other great scorers and arguably better two-way players like Giroux left off.
