Outshooting 31-9 and it’s 1-1... like come on

127 sog - 46 soga the last three games.
6 gf - 4 ga

Lol...

West has always been good about pushing shots to the outside. I'd be interested to see what the high danger scoring chances were.

Avs are 1st in expected GF% and 10th in expected GF yet 11th in the league in points% (overall standings).

Which suggests they've been a bit unlucky.

Usually by the end of the season this stuff evens out but teams have gone full years being "unlucky"... I think the Canes have been that team a few times as of late (great advanced stats but hasn't translated fully in the results).

2nd in expected goals against but 11th in actual goals against suggests goaltending has let you down, at least from a shallow statistical POV.

It's obviously imperative that the Avs find a capable backup.

Avs should really be careful of this. In today's game, a backup goalie you can actually somewhat trust is worth giving up an asset for (if the one they just picked up doesn't work out, which wouldn't be a surprise).

In terms of what? Best, favorite?
Forsberg is my all time favorite.

Sakics the obvious choice for better career, but man if Forsberg could have stayed healthy...
