I used to drive high, i still will short distance but i try to put some space in between smoking and driving.
I FIRMLY believe my level of responsibility on the road when i am high is equal or greater than when i am sober. However the reason i dont like to drive high is it is undeniable that my reaction time is worse.
I avoid driving high no because it makes me a bad driver but because i worry i wont be able to react to other bad drivers.
That being said i have to say driving stoned on empty country roads with windows open music blastin in the summer is very very nice
I actually agree with what you say, I think I'm just as safe but reactionary type maneuvers are slowed. I stopped driving high because I dont think it's worth the risk of hitting someone if they happened to run out onto the road unexpectedly. Also, you cant really write the rules for the most seasoned "stoners" because obviously we have a comfort-ability and immunity built up. I have friends who have put my milk into my pantry while baked because they are idiots. Cant have those people on the road and to flat out think it isnt risky because you have an immunity is a pretty cocky and reckless attitude. Just my 2 cents.
