i guess Rob Rossi is their version of Sekeres

According to a lot of Pens fans, this is very much the case.

Rossi called a break up of the Pens core like 5-6 years ago lol.

ooof, then again idk if anyone can be compared to Sekeres.
He's like 0/192391923193919319239193 bullshit rumors.

Even Bruce recently said "I think you guys make this stuff up. I'm being honest. My agent and I were quoted as saying things we had no clue what they were talking about. They make stuff up! I'm convinced of it! I've had no hard feelings towards anybody. I've known Jim for 45 years."

Dubas and keefe off the chopping block confirmed

Dubas not interested in breaking up core or making trades for sake of making trades which have gone bad for him before.

As per meeting yesterday

Same end of season press conference every year

i mean i do agree. yea they get fucked every year in the first round and cannot do shit, but there has to be at some moment they can get over that damn hump?

similiar scenerio is when the caps couldnt get passed the pens for ??? straight years, until they finally did it. i dont think they changed up their core when they were going through that?

Exactly

I mean dont get me wrong, leafs exceeded my expectations in Reg season and vs. Tbl

I still have a really bad taste in mouth over last years 1st round embarrassment. But overall i can be sour about another 1st round exit but the context is completely different this year. They played well it was an exciting series and i imagine the dialogue will be different and more supportive for the core once TBL reaches conf final. They will probably be in the final.. lets be realistic

And that will also support decisions made to keep Dubas/ keefe and most of the team.

Obviously there will be some D movements and hopefully a reach for another goalie... but this goalie picture right now is a situation in itself.

I would say this year was a bit different. Tampa may be the team to beat, at least in the East, and the series ended up being a total coin flip. Keeping the same core and addressing some problems lower in the lineup could be enough to push you through.

Caps didn't blow it up but their roster was overturned simply to do time. They won the cup with Kuznetsov, Wilson, Oshie etc. and not Semin, Green, Mojo, etc.

It would be like the Leafs winning with Matthews and Marner and a mostly new supporting cast in like 5 years.
