everything i have seen indicates that it's in those who are genetically predisposed. but i'm not denying there are negatives consequences for young smokers, that is certainly true.

all I'm saying is the evidence being provided in this debate is largely anecdotal, i know this docotor who says etc

is it though? i literally watched a docu about this shit and spent 2 hours of my life for them to say at the end they have no verified proof its all in theory and its very possible the people were "crazy" even before they smoked and weed didnt cause it
i mean shit there is a bazillion smokers out there your telling me you cant prove if weed make people crazy? its likely because it doesnt lol

Should have said trigerred by. You have to have predispositions but i believe thats the case for most of substance induced psychoses

The real point though is that its not like keeping it illegal will mean they don't have access. I was using MJ at like 15-16 and ofc it was illegal, absolutely no problem with access. i dont see how access even could increase, maybe that's my slant being a city kid though.

I know someone who developed schizophrenia as a teen by smoking weed

maybe it was gonna come sooner or later, but doc said it triggered it

right, but they managed that when it was illegal, would it being legal now increase smoking rates in youth? i'm not convinced, i for one think any young people inclined to smoke already had access at their fingertips

yeah the documentary i watched was about that there is a chance weed triggers stuff like that early but only if the person already has it and they couldnt even prove it its just a theory
unless they have proven it since but i havnt seen anything about it and i feel like that would be everywhere if it got proven



legalizing it either does 2 things
1. makes your local dealers go cheaper and nothing changes except the price of your bud
2. local dealers quit because there is no money in it and its harder for kids to get since you need to buy from dispensaries
its all about how they price it imo

yup I agree, I don't think making it legal will change much

but should you make something legal that can harm children/teens, if there is all of a sudden an increase in cases of teens developing mental illness because of weed it will fall on the govt hands because it is now a legal product, as to now people will blame police/parents and bad drug dealers

Rural areas and towns will see increase I would imagine, but I don't imagine it would develop into a crisis or anything close
