Hard to say. Toffoli is a more proven player, cup winner, on a way better cost-controlled contract. Boeser's never played a full season and is about to get paid the biggest contract of his career. I would guess he's worth more than Toffoli but not "way north".

different type of players,
toffoli is 5yrs older, proven 2nd line winger at best or middle forward, can PK & finish as long as he got a good passer on his line, but he can't drive his line.

Boeser is 5yrs younger, a legit 1st line winger, and like you said his problem is being able to stay healthy to play a full season. He is defensively under-rated and can drive his line.

Boeser has ~50pts on average playing about 60ish games. His career pts per game is 0.8 which equates to around 65+pts. He spent his entire career in a basement Canuck team.
Toffoli has like ~45pts on average playing relatively a lot of full season. His career pts per game is 0.6 which equates to around 50pt player. That's also including when he had his career best when the Kings won cups.

so i can see why a lot of teams are interested in him, despite his health. His market value is around 10mil, so i think they'll be happy if they can lock him up for ~7m with term. As they would be getting almost all his prime years from his 3rd contract.

gimme 1st + something that isn't york cause he's gonna bust. ratcliffe has history with suzuki. Petry's been back to #1D level since Ducharme got fired so I don't think Hughes is looking to trade him for cheap. I guess JVR could go in as a cap dump.

On a side note, the Flyers continue to be the strangest team in hockey. It seems like they should rebuild but they're just re-tooling for the 20th time since 2001. Wouldn't shock me for them to just trade Giroux for a haul and re-sign him in the summer.

Fletcher's fucked the cap situation with a few contracts tho. Hayes is brutal. All your rookies got significant raises that weren't indicative of their current level.

hayes isnt that bad if he healthy hes a pretty good 2c for us but the term is probably going to bite us in the long run
but tbh as bad as the flyers are this season a lot of that is injuries we probably lead the league in man games lost and we have had some important players out
then we got rekt by covid and while most teams that get as bad as philly did they would get PPD games they ppd the games after flyers lost like 4 or 5 in a row missing 3/4 the team with covid

its just been a shit show i dont think the flyers have had a single game with the full roster

Every team went through bullshit this year. I saw last night the blues have dressed the most skaters and goaltenders in the league this year and honestly it didn't seem that bad.

Just been a weird year. Some teams overcame it, some teams fell apart. Even a fully healthy flyers or habs team wasn't making the playoffs; they simply aren't good enough.

i dont believe that at all tbh flyers started out strong and had some of the toughest teams on the shedule to start out the season
and our defense as pretty much the same spot as last year not good enough because ellis has been out the whole season if hes in the line up our D is way improved

we even had good depth guys like brassard that were able to fill the 2c with hayes out but then he got hurt couts got hurt giroux had to play center because we had none
lots of teams have dealt with injuries and covid but i feel like flyers have had it pretty bad with the quality of players out on top of quantity

people keep saying this team is shit but we havnt even seen this team they literally havnt had a single game with a fully healthy roster

they had what 2 10 game losing streaks and are still 16-26-10 they were a positive record until the injuries started to pile up

Ok tell yourself that. They aren't a top 8 team in the east even if 100% healthy, and assuming perfect health is impossible.

They may not be bottom 5, but the top 8 in the east is tough. The only team that looks vulnerable in the caps.

even if not 100% healthy just not having like 5 of our top 6 out for long periods not missing our probably best d man all season

we went from a team with a lot of depth to a team struggling to fill out an nhl roster because of injuries at one point our bottom 6 was all ahlers cause the rest of the guys were hurt/promoted to top 6 due to injuries
there isnt a single team in the league that can make the playoffs with the kind of injuries we had/have
but whatever we can agree to disagree
