why am i listening to the senate hearing?

Ya. This is the first place I’ve expressed my feelings over it. And I’m the only one. Ok. Most of you had no idea bout this.
I’ve been at work, working for the past 6.5 hours. And throwing a few texts out in between time cause I’m an awesome employee I read a good meme once that describes half the ppl on this forum. Wish I could find it

Yes, you should hear the talk, it all pretty negative.

I dont think it will happen but it certainly seems possible. If it did happen it could be the final straw for the senate though lol

Ah shit

The senate has passed every single bill proposed to them so far, that number being 38 I think. I’m sure they understand the seriousness of this. And it may sound negative cause second talks are all about dissecting it for once it pssses and heads to committee.

I’d wager the conservatives in senate far outnumber the liberals and independents. And if they know that if this doesnt pass it ruins Trudeau’s chances of re-election. We may have an issue.

I think there are 33 cons, 13 libs and like 30 idependents, i heard a rumor that Libs are flying in thier senators who were absent due to committees in other provinces.

the senate would be WAY over stepping its place to reject a bill that the HoC had put up. but this is so critical for trudeau's "success" that the cons may just do it. I'm not worried but i recognize there is some risk today.

There's parliamentary tracking services available so you don't have to watch entire meetings

I had to look it up out of curiosity. There are 43 independents 33 con. And 11 lib.
Should be an easy pass.

not everybody is there as some are out on committee / some senators just dont show.
