The senate has passed every single bill proposed to them so far, that number being 38 I think. I’m sure they understand the seriousness of this. And it may sound negative cause second talks are all about dissecting it for once it pssses and heads to committee.
I’d wager the conservatives in senate far outnumber the liberals and independents. And if they know that if this doesnt pass it ruins Trudeau’s chances of re-election. We may have an issue.
I think there are 33 cons, 13 libs and like 30 idependents, i heard a rumor that Libs are flying in thier senators who were absent due to committees in other provinces.
the senate would be WAY over stepping its place to reject a bill that the HoC had put up. but this is so critical for trudeau's "success" that the cons may just do it. I'm not worried but i recognize there is some risk today.
