High-risk high reward situation. We have no cap, especially for a goalie or dman. And Hollands thinking he can get Kane for cheap. And if we do land him and it doesn't work, it's just a half season of shenanigans.

i went through the draft in flyers thread he generally got the best or one of the best players available with their picks

and yeah they wanted makar but how can u blame him for taking the consensus #1 pick instead and if it wasnt for injuries patrick might be a much better player

I'd agree if he was a ez #1oa consensus in a deep top end draft like mcd/Eichel going 1 and 2 or Matthews/Laine going 1/2. Patrick couldn't even get drafted 1oa cuz hischier went neck to neck and made his case to make njd feel he's 1oa. Those 2 clearly aren't the same level of talent as the other 4 players mentioned. Makar is doing some nutty shit in his young career, and he himself has durability issues
