I see your big edit nearin. And agree that no fully auto weapon should be for the public. And right now it is pretty difficult to leagally own one in the states that is fully auto.

I can't act like a know alot about guns but i think the issue is more shit like bump stocks. that turn them into auto rifles.
I do think Canadian gun laws in the states would change things, but there is a gun culture that wont be undone instantly by rule changes. even if all the laws that i think would help were put in place tomorrow i would probably take years to have the effect we need. at which point it will probably have been repealed and replaced 2-3 times by various governments, with strange unrelated health bills rolled in and who the fuck knows.
The entire us system is pretty backwards, so no i don't think liberal SJW's like myself getting a couple new laws in place will do much.
But it would be a small step in the right direction at least.
