What's the latest on the Arizona Coyotes arena lease? Are they still capable of staying in Arizona longer?
And the Ottawa Senators draw a horrible attendance. Last in the NHL I believe. Are they safe for now?
http://www.espn.com/nhl/attendanceArizona Coyotes are 28th and the Ottawa Senators are 31st and dead last in home attendance.
I'm tired of dreaming about Houston, Texas landing an NHL franchise via relocation or expansion.
Any chance the NHL would even expand to 34 teams or is the only real hope through relocation?
Seattle should be proud of themselves for landing the 32nd team. I think Houston can support a good pro hockey team. The fans in Houston will show up in large numbers if the team is any good. Not to call our fan base fairweather fans but they'll embrace the team if it's championship caliber. The new XFL team, the Houston Roughnecks, are off to a dazzling start. Great home crowds already. They haven't lost a game yet.
I think Houston can definitely draw a larger home crowd for NHL games than the Ottawa Senators and Arizona Coyotes.
To the people that say pro hockey can't work in Texas. The Dallas Stars are 3rd in the NHL in home attendance.
I like the Dallas Stars but I've fallen in love with the Coyotes. My favorite player in the NHL is Clayton Keller. I want the 'Yotes in Houston!
