My wife when she first got it had very light periods and then after a while they went away except lightly a few times a year, one of the down sides she said is not knowing when it was going to come. But 2-3 a year for 2-4 days and not having to take a pill or use condoms was worth it.
She had it taken out when we started trying to have kids and 3 months after the boys were born she got it put back. Not sure if we're going to have more or not so we're keeping opinions open I'll be gettin the old rusty scissors snipity snip when we decide we're done
