i wish theyd play edmundson with pietrangelo again.
edmundson clears out the front of the net better, and im sorry but despite NBCs random love for bouwmeester, he was once again one of our worst defenders last night.
for a guy who offers zero offensive ability, hes not the shutdown guy he once was. he gets beat more often and forgets where his guy is more than ever. and when he gets the puck in his end, he pretty regularly botches a pass up and/or turns the puck over. he needs to see less ice time.
elliot played ok early but much better late.
the blues HAVE to get the puck on net more often. stars goaltending is shaky, so stop passing the puck forever and eventually giving it up in the corner and take a page out of the stars' book and put the puck on net.
our top 2 lines have to show up too. i didnt notice the stastny line much at all and theyre drawing a pretty favorable matchup.
schwartz, shoot the puck more. brouwer, shoot the puck on net every once in a while, damn. steen, dont take stupid penalties.
horribly played game for 50mins. cant play that way against a good team and expect success.
win tomorrow and we take home ice and have the momentum. LGB!
