same for iginla in Calgary, however they got nothing for him because they waited too long.

think of the return the Vancouver organization would get for them

A couple of really promising young prospects, 3 firsts overall and a 5 million dollar roster player or 2.

I'm sure the habs would consider the deal.

thats way overprice if the 5 mil players are worth 5 mil, if you can take a cap dump like vinny lecav i could see a possibility for 1-2 first overalls and a few good prospects

Sedins aren't going anywhere. They'll retire and go to Sweden before waiving their NTCs.

Hope for Kesler / Burrows / Hamhuis / Bieksa / Luongo waiving.

I'd keep Garrison and Edler, but I'm sure lots disagree on the latter.


e/ not keeping Hammer 'cause he's a little older. Basically anyone 29+ can go. Kesler's 28 but he's probably the most valuable asset.

As a guy with zero emotional attachment to the canucksIn my opinion what would be best moving forward is to:

Talk with the Sedins and see if they would be willing to accept a trade to a contender and instantly become their second line. Receiving a bucket of assets in return.


Trade one of the two starting goalies you guys have,

If you trade Lu you get rid of his TERRIBLE contract and have a starter who has a lot of time to grow
If you trade Ginger god then you still have lu, who frankly has looked like the better starter and will still perform for years to come. and you would probably get more assets for Ginger God since his contract Isn't a horrid monster.


Dump as many underperforomers as possible for mid round picks (Higgins Raymond ect)



Keep Keep Kesler/Hamhues and burrows to build around
