I do not think Russia is actually scummy

Putin keeps jailing and murdering all of his political opponents ffs. So many other things to list.

I don't know how anyone can excuse making the decision to release nerve gas in a city. Sending mafiosos to beat their snitch into a pulp would've been a lot less dangerous and inconspicuous.

North Korea i think people honestly forget that the USA killed 70% of their population and blew up every single hospital school base airport factory they could find to target. and they wonder why they want to point nukes at the usa.

Phillipines is pretty fucked, pretty sure thier president is waging a war not just on drug dealers but also users.
Venezuela is a full on dictatorship. Syria ofc. Myanmar genocide is a check.

China just went full on dictatorship with Xi removing the term cap. I used to be a news junkie, SJW, do-gooder but i've honestly lost all faith in humanity so now i just work and invest like the rest of the capitalist pig-dogs

Do good within your reach. Too many people watch the news and feel powerless to change the world, but nothing changes on good intentions alone - nevermind that people have radically different ideas of "good intentions". So just focus on doing positive things for your community and whoever you can reach, don't be bothered if no one is watching.

I still do, i volunteer when i can, buy food for the homeless, i've been helping my friend dealing with fent addiction and shit like that. little shit, still trying to reeducate people around me who have twisted views

but you know what i mean, the bigger picture of the world just aint getting brighter.

I think social media really is alienating people from each other and making them forget about their surroundings. Unfortunately I know lots of people who won't shut the fuck up about American politics and the latest outrage thing that happened, but are incapable of talking about what's going on in their communities or what they're doing outside of bitching on Facebook or trying to be yet another "influencer". Just doing small bits of good like you are is huge, don't lose sight of that.
