I think that was boiling over from the disallowed goal.

It could have gone either way imo.

In the end that is what decided the game.

To me Mrazek is twisted around and it is inevitable the puck makes it in the net in that circumstance.

That being said I think the ref either lost sight of the puck and intended to blow the play dead, or he believed Mrazek had control of the puck and intended to blow the play dead.

The ref can call no goal despite there being no whistle, so long as he intended to blow the play dead.

In close games it can come down to the refs.... Not sure how I feel about that call. The big thing though... If you want to win don't leave it up to the refs to help you out. Win in convincing fashion and it is not a problem. The Canes had a great bounce back game and it is no tragedy that they won, despite all the likely bitching that will occur from Washington.
