Like i predicted, the canucks will bounce back this season and be a mediocore team, either barely miss the playoffs or barely make it. ONLY because this year's top 10 draft is DEEP AF, and we all know how that goes for the lolnucks. Deep draft = aim for low pick, meh draft = aim for 1oa and get 5th :rofl:

Idc about draft anymore. We need to play to win. Enough of this draft shit in the top 10.

i mean, u can keep 1oa and sign EK yolo next season
EK pretty much just said he'll get the $$$ he deserves, nothing less, wherever he goes. And we all know ottawa is cheap af, and even if EK gets paid he might choose another team that pay the same, cos they won't be cheap to sign other players for help.

We don’t have cap space for that...in fact we almost certainly will move RNH to make cap space.
Neither does Ottawa by the looks of it , they are in a bit of a pickle with phaneuf and Ryan making 7 mil each with ntc and curently sitting 2 mil under cap and needing to spend around 10mil? more to keep stone / EK.

Cheap owners stay as close as they can to the cap floor, getting contracts that cost less than the cap hit. Since Ottawa is constantly hugging the cap, it can't be true their owner is that cheap.

Melnyk IS cheap and will try to save money wherever he can, but he has always said he will pay the money when the time comes
