Personally I looked at LA's schedule, picked the first team to beat them, then who I thought would beat them, and so on, 90 games later I found my team, predicted the year in advance

Not necessarily. No team plays another more than 6 times per season. Very few teams take all 6 games, or even 5-1. The result is extremely random.

I've seen lot of shit team beating the said contender team

theres got to be a greater chance of lets say picking the bruins compared to florida or something...cant say that both teams are equally likely to win

like saying bruins 50 wins have the same chance of winning and holding the belt vs sabres 15 wins lol

not really since it cycles through the league. a team could lose it then gain it back next week even when it cycles through 3-4 teams. ofc it could hit a team on the west where the east wont see it for days. but in general teams that have a higher win % should have a better chance statistically speaking
