I was really excited to go the casino when I was younger.
Laid down $20 on the roulette table on my 19th birthday - gone instantly.
another $20 in slots wiped out in a few minutes. Soured on the casino experience almost instantly. The only time I go there now is if my Grandma or friends want to have a birthday there or go for the evening. I won't go there under my own power.
Even then if I do gamble it's $20 max just so nobody asks why don't you gamble. I don't get it at all. For someone like me who is pragmatic and understand the odds I can't justify it.
How can you think you will win? They have the fancy building, can pay staff, upkeep, property tax, equipment costs and so forth and still make money hand over fist. What chance do you have lol?
