What's the ruling on checking a goalie behind the net?

usually 2 mins
goalie is almost fair game behind the net becasue they are out of the crease

Carter hart got checked twice into the boards and then the back of the net and nothing got called

well in that case they deserve a 10 game suspension and knocked the fuck out
hope it wasnt too serious with him being a flyers draft pick and all prob not if no penalties o.O
