So Hyman was in Edmonton, Friedman says he's looking at about 40mil regardless of term. So I guess it makes sense if he gets 5x8yrs, cuz it'd be hilarious if rnh took a discount and then Hyman be like sup with a 6x8

6mil is going to look ugly when Hyman is 37

Although he may not play that long, he has had some injuries

[Gord Miller] Just to be clear about the Expansion Draft: Seattle didn’t make any “draft consideration” trades, where it got something to take one player over another. It made “side deals” where it agreed to draft a player and then move him to another team. They’ll be announced at 1pm et.

Alright, which team wanted Bayruether and twarynski?

[Johnston] Further to Friedge's report: Word is that an eight-year contract for Hyman with the Oilers would come in a shade under the $5.125M AAV on Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' recent deal. A seven-year contract for Hyman would be closer to $5.5M AAV.

[Strickland] Can confirm the Edmonton have both 7 and 8 year contracts agreed to with Zach Hyman. EDM and TOR are working to execute a sign & trade which will pay Hyman 8 yrs. at around $5M. Salary comes in higher in middle of contract and includes some no move protection.

Hopefully Hyman stays healthy and doesn't decline like Neal, Lucic and Eriksson did because he is currently older than Lucic was when he signed his 6yr deal

Hall might sign 6m x 4yrs in boston
