Shattenkirk, Jackman and Polak don't have those packages. IMO none of these 3 guys are top pairing calibre, especially Polak, who's probably a #4 DFD at best.

I too remember when Crosby scored when a #1 defenseman was on the ice and that guy instantly became a #6 for the rest of his career because the best player in the world scored when he was on the ice.

I'll never forget the time earlier this year when Carolina beat Pittsburgh and Crosby was at fault for 3 of the goals because he couldn't handle the Eric Staal match-up.

Dreger tweeted that Leafs talked to Kiprusoff's agent yesterday and will speak directly to the goalie today.

Seems more and more like this deal will probably go down, to me at least.

Just a ploy to let Vancouver know that they have to reduce their expectations if they ever plan to move Luongo. That, or they didn't watch yesterday's game.. or any game before that.

He's having a bad year and you can't really blame it on a fail Flames team 'cause he's been letting in stinkers.

But it's not like Luongo has been lights out, either. Just makes a lot more sense to go after Kip 'cause of contract term and trade price.

Marc-Andre Bergeron has been dealt to Carolina.
Tampa gets Adam Hall and a 7th-round pick in return for Bergeron



Told the Dallas Stars have decided to trade Jaromir Jagr. My sense is Boston leads the list of front-runners
