Nah dude, prison work. We're allowed to swap shifts off with officers on other shifts, so we get extra time off but no overtime. When working a swap, it's counted as if the originally scheduled officer is there. Productivity means absolutely fuck all. As long as they're all alive and still incarcerated at the end of the day, and we all stay safe and healthy, it's a success.

they do not really cares who's working as long as the job is getting done
you could not show for work at all, you will still get paid as long as your partner back you up

Yeah as long as there is paperwork filled out so it can be in the system, it's good to go. Gotta show up on days you're supposed to, but with 4days in between 2 regular days off, usually the papers are filled so one works the two days before the days off and the other works the two after.

our card gotta be scanned though so sometime you just show up for 1 hour then leave but you are still paid for 8 hours
but sometime you will work for 6-7 hours while your partner is at home in his pool, chilling with beers and what not

Ahh, for security reasons we have to stay for the whole 8 or 16 hours. Being prison, ya know

well....it is pretty similar lol
but we do get to leave whenever we want tho

Pretty sure USA is the only country where people are looked down upon for taking time off.
