It's definitely a start, but their main focus right now is lowering costs for their employees, with hopes that they can, eventually, effect costs for the country. Good to see CEO's actually giving back.

"It was not clear if the ultimate goal is to eventually move beyond Amazon, Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway and JPMorgan. However, JPMorgan Chairman and CEO Jaimie Dimon said, "our goal is to create solutions that benefit our U.S. employees, their families and, potentially, all Americans.""

uhhhhh look up the gates foundation... they might not be perfect but they've actually helped out quite a bit both domestically in the states and overseas, primarily in Africa

like being a major factor in getting deaths from measles in africa to drop to less than 10% of what it was before, helped to eradicate polio, etc.

but ofc it's easier to just slam something, these guys actually donate 95% (not 90% I was wrong) and the money isn't going to a trust for their kids, wonder how much you're going to donate after you die

Foundations where the primary donor is also the CEO/Owner of the charity are often really well run. So no idea what Sub is talking about.

There definitely are charities that mis-use donation money but those are typically publicly funded.
