Obama almost predicted it to the date

My god Trump is a mega dropoff from Obama. Such a letdown because it does effect us

Sounds like Alberta is re opening in phases starting May 14. Is it too soon for Alberta and all the other provinces?

'So what?': Bolsonaro shrugs off Brazil's rising coronavirus death toll - Outrage at president’s response to news that more than 5,000 people have lost their lives
More than 5,000 Brazilians have lost their lives to the coronavirus – even more people than in China, if its official statistics are to be believed.

But on Tuesday night Brazil’s president shrugged off the news. “So what?” Jair Bolsonaro told reporters when asked about the record 474 deaths that day. “I’m sorry. What do you want me to do?”

Bolsonaro’s 11-word response – the latest in a series of remarks belittling the pandemic – sparked immediate fury. One newspaper, the Estado de Minas, stamped the president’s words on to a black front page beside Brazil’s death toll: 5,017.

“Bolsonaro isn’t just an awful politician and a bad president, he’s a despicable human being,” tweeted Marcelo Freixo, a leftwing opponent.

“My name’s Messiah,” Bolsonaro also told reporters on Tuesday, in reference to his second name, Messias. “But I can’t work miracles.”

Time will tell....

In all honesty it is hitting the breaking point.

Mental health in the toilet.... People are going nuts. The economic damage is immense.

It may be too early but I just don't think a lockdown can go on for much longer.

The way our society is set up individuals and governments can not take the strainl; so I think you will see phases of going back to 'normal' happen early. Just have to hope the consequences are not too dire.

With the way things are going if some restrictions are not lifted I think you will begin so see a rapid rise in disobedience. Many do not have the mental resolve to hold out for much longer.

I'd say that's the kind of economic activity that just gets reallocated elsewhere.

True to an extent.

In the short term though everyone is pinching pennies. I know I am not making many entertainment purchases right now just in case things get worse. I would imagine a lot of folks have that same mentality and want to have savings for that scenario.

If pro sports is the last thing to return to 'normal' I do think disposable income will go elsewhere for the most part though like you said.

I'm pissing money on games and streaming instead. DOOM Eternal was the first video game I ever pre-ordered. I also have Netflix Premium so my old folks and my siblings can share my account. Hashtag woooorth.
