All in all I agree with you. Bergeron not lady byng, but selke every year (best 2way fwd) And it’s obviously not easy to ref these games. I just don’t understand how you can go to replay for 2-5 minutes and still not make the right calls on a somewhat consistent basis.

When they throw their head up like that. Yes. Embellishment is very rarely used now Adays tho. And when they call embellishment it’s almost always 2 the other way aswell. I’d like to see more embellishment calls on its own when it’s obvious.

Oh thats right, got them mixed up lmao without a doubt on the video reviews, its ridiculous.
Like the offsides debacle in the red wings bruins game last weekend... spent 5 mins to review it, as soon as i saw the replay there were a good 3 bruins offside, but it some how took them 5 mins.
Or in the same game missing pasta blatantly smacking glendening in the face with his stick right before you guys scored.
The quality of reffing has just gone downhill. The NHL is still easily the most fairly ref'd game when you compare it football, and maybe basketball but just like those leagues its a slippery slope.

Yeah 5 mins is retarded for an easy call. Also dumb mistake to have someone changing at the boards and he’s the guy off sides. Others were close but we never saw the close up so don’t know if only Bergy was actually off or not.

I think pastas high stick was considered a follow through ? So technically legal that’s what the broadcast said and it looked close. Could see it go either way tho.

I can’t even watch the nba nowadays. I get bored no matter what. Nhl,nfl >>>>>>
