Sorry, should have been more clear. The nut is shown in the 2nd picture.

I can obviously find the socket, but I can't find that nut that goes in the socket.

That nut looks custom.. Lol koj gonna rip me..

What the length of the nut and is it threaded all the way through?

nah its just a shit pic it seems, its a coupler nut aka a hexed tube that's threaded through

should be able to find them at any hardware store

homedepot, lowes, ace hardware, ect they make them in a bunch of different lengths

im assuming there is a stud already there, and you are using 1 nut on either side?

3/8" coupling nut according to the guy who made that post. The only thing he did was grind the top of it to make it shorter because it was too long originally, but that isn't necessary.

I've been to a couple hardware stores but for whatever reason I haven't been able to find anything similar. Either I'm blind or stupid or both. Employees haven't been much help either, even after showing them these pictures.

This is what the thing actually looks like without the nut on:

However overtime it strips and becomes unusable. That's why the nut is glued on top and a socket is used, because the nut won't strip away.

That is a 3/8 reddi rod coupling.
Would work. It's a 9/16 socket.

I use these being electrician all the time.
