I’m worried about all the meat prices going sky high. Not necessarily worried about not finding any. Local butchers don’t get their supply from same place grocery chains do.

Grilling season has barely begun and there’s a threat to my red meat!

you could always move to a decent country... Im guessing if you're staying its because you make a decent enough salary not to worry about food prices just yet.. but oncle Justin wants the most lazy to have a steak on their plate so 50% of your salary will be used so some welfare bro can buy his weed AND steak yo

The problem is per capita, Ontario ranks third last in Canada in testing (16,342 per million people).
Which means, there is more than likely thousands out there who have it and not being counted. Which in turn makes the numbers seem low.

Step up the per capita testing. Alberta is top in the per capita testing in North America (29,813 per million people) since about 2 weeks ago anyone in Alberta who displays covid symptoms qualifies for a test. Only real way to track this. And in turn, re open.

ontario has like 3x the population of alberta lol
sure per capita in most cases makes shit even but when it comes to number of test kits ontario would need 3x the amount alberta does to keep up
which also means ontario would need 3x the lab work to be done on top of needing the supplies for 3x the amount of tests and our labs were backed up

i feel like testing has been pretty good in ontario idk the only thing i dislike is the trust factor for self isolating but i assume most people are generally good for it
i mean i feel like further testing would be starting to test random people on the street what more would you want to see for testing?

i mean shit toronto alone has like 3/4 the population of alberta in one city no shit albertas numbers per capita are going to look good lol

Anyone worried about food?
Meat plants closing up everywhere.

Have a friend that works in the industry.

He said it is almost certain there will be supply shortages in the meat industry.

Even now I am noticing prices creeping up.

Your logic is flawed.
You have 3x the pop so should have 3x the labs 3x the tests. Don’t be upset that on a per capita basis Ontario has some of the lowest numbers in Canada. Facts unfortunately don’t care for your feelings.
Notice how cases are “exploding” in Quebec? It shows they are testing many more per capita than Ontario is, 23,771/mill vs 16,500/mill Canadian average is 20,000 per million. Ontario is way below that.

Way too many variables in the numbers to accurately gauge what is going on...

yeah maybe there's something going on. Pretty much every beef cut has gone way up in price at my local Save-On, I only grabbed some roast from an earlier clearance. Almost 20 bucks/kg for beef stew lolz.

Chicken is still fairly cheap, but that's nearly all of the meat I've eaten the past few weeks. Let me get some red meat in before the price gouging...

Ehh. It’s not that simple sure, but the numbers do tell a story. Without adequate numbers of tests, it's challenging for public health officials to grasp the scope of the spread or determine how deadly it is.

More widespread testing could change the known death rate. More tests = death rate dropping = more freedoms back. They are saying mild cases arnt being tested in many places and that 25% of cases go undetected all together. More tests need to be done.

im not upset rofl like i could take the amount of tests and say why is alberta 120k or so tests behind?e can all go and pick out one statistic that makes our province look good and another bad but to argue it is just dumb
im looking at the overall picture and weigh the variables and get an idea of how the province is doing i couldnt give 2 shits how its doing vs other ones statistically lmao
