The goalies have been to blame.

The defense could definitely be better defensively, sure. But at least 50% of hillers goals would be stopped by almost any other goalie in the league. It's abysmal watching him play. Even the most harmless looking shots make me so fucking nervous.

That's how we felt with Dubnyk.

Hiller was good like 6+ years ago. I honestly am just blown away he keeps getting starts. Every time he plays, it's usually a 4+ goal game for other team.

Ortio isn't winning games, but a big majority of those games he let's in 2 or less, flames just don't score. It's brutal. Play Ortio more for fuck sakes.

Edit: I'm actually curious what someone who is unbiased thinks. Personally I really hate Hiller and dont understand why he's getting starts. Curious to see if you agree or maybe it's my hatred glasses.

I completely agree. I'd rather see hiller buried in the minors and let Ortio start 75% of the remaining games, give Backstrom a few games if he's ready. Hiller is the worst goalie in the nhl.

This is what I saw on the 5 goals lastnight.

1st goal: Was a waffling shot that went five hole. Hiller doesnt have the bottom of the net covered and appears to be off balance when it goes in.
2nd Goal: Breakaway, this a defensive breakdown cant blame Hiller on this one.
3rd Goal: Misplayed by Hiller IMO. There is no reason he isnt outside the crease cutting down the angle. Yes it's a nice shot but it's also misplayed because there is double coverage on the backdoor pass and he has to surrender a back door goal there to prevent this shot from going in. Hiller looks like he's leaning almost expecting a pass.
4th Goal: Too deep in his net, shoulders and arms down. Hillers fault again.
5th Goal: This is weak as fuck. No reason a wrister from the point that goes in the middle of the top right corner should go in.

I'd day the third and maybe fifth he should of had.
And lol at Calgary's third goal. They pay hot potato until they get to the net?
