I'd take Fleury at 7M for 2 more years personally. Really suprised no one showed interest, especially with a 2nd attached to him.

i almost guarantee that wasnt offered to SJ, not that we have the $ to do it anyway. we would have to buy out jones which is fine. but we still would be in cap trouble

Yzerman would probably take it too. Add a pick and take the salary for two years, we are flush with money and need another goalie. But maybe he thinks he can get more than just a second with the cap space or he plans to take askarov and thinks askarov is ready now and doesnt want to have him, bernier and fleury hanging around.
