we also got like a 60% recovery rate
and most of the deaths i believe were old folks homes that got hit and people with other preexisting health issues

tbh most of the outbreak cases were in the GTA and from travel a lot of ontario is fairly "clean"

but yeah idk about reopening yet but its looking pretty decent but opening too soon could quickly change that

The problem is per capita, Ontario ranks third last in Canada in testing (16,342 per million people).
Which means, there is more than likely thousands out there who have it and not being counted. Which in turn makes the numbers seem low.

Step up the per capita testing. Alberta is top in the per capita testing in North America (29,813 per million people) since about 2 weeks ago anyone in Alberta who displays covid symptoms qualifies for a test. Only real way to track this. And in turn, re open.

I’m worried about all the meat prices going sky high. Not necessarily worried about not finding any. Local butchers don’t get their supply from same place grocery chains do.

Grilling season has barely begun and there’s a threat to my red meat!

O CANADAAAAAAA!
So happy to have a kid as pm, can't wait for the 100$/steak  :hail:

collect ur free 2k$ you pieces of worthless welfare queens

its great we're closing everything so that boomers can die happily at age 96 getting their pussy cleaned up once every 2 weeks by someone who couldn't shoot higher than being an ass-cleaning slave at 15-20$/hour, I'm happy to have such great administration in such a great country

in Quebec they had to send the army to clean up all those stinky boomers lmao imagine enrolling in the army to be dispatched to the ass-cleaning department  I'd be wishing for Afghanistan or Iran  .... eh.. even Israel, gotta protect all those valuable allies  .... nvm send me to clean Donald

I'd imagine slaughterhouses wouldn't stay under capacity for long, maybe 2-3 weeks? There was already an initial run on fresh meat at the onset of social distancing, which has already been made up for - most people should have a freezer inventory. It would be trouble if meat processing was running behind for 4+ weeks, though.
