I'm gonna have to make a red/bold/sticky thread explaining why the Blues need/want Miller.

Been having this discussion in multiple threads for the last month

Blues are dumb to give weaken their team for Miller if they do. If they manage Callahan I think they go LA this year

If they get him for one of their goalies and a prospect maybe it's not so bad, but they have 3 solid tenders. Miller is a top goalie though, but I think Halak is capable

Rangers gave at least one team permission to speak with callahans agent. Sounds like his time in new york is all but over.

sather uses leverage well with his own free agents. that's my only hope right now. i don't think it's right to move him if you can get him at a fair price. you still have to replace him and there's nothing on the market.

I see callahan getting traded, while re-signing girardi. Personally I would give callahan the 6M he wants in a heartbeat. The guy is everything you want out of a hockey player. I'll be really glad if he is out of the east

Pierre Lebrun says that Gillis is ready to "re-tool" the Canucks. All roster players except the Sedins (who wouldn't accept a trade anyway) are available for younger players.
