I couldnt imagine passing up drysdale for sanderson personally, and quinn would just be stupid imo. Askarov wouldnt be too outlandish only because you guys will get byfield or stutzle at 3. But the other two, id be floored lol

Yzerman is looking pretty solid right now.

I think he is the guy to get this team back on its feet.

If he falls to 4th overall I think Drysdale is drafted by the Wings.

Right handed shot, Great speed and grace under fire.

He has to the confidence to be their difference maker and the talent to back it up.


The only drawback is lack of size. That has done little to hurt Makar and Hughes though.

It is a new era that values speed, skill and intelligence more than raw size now. A smart defender can still hold his own despite giving up size. That has been proven.



I think you have Lafreniere first (obviously) and it is a toss up between Stutzle and Byfield with the 2nd/3rd pick.


If Drysdale does happen to get picked at 2nd or 3rd the Wings still would be able to pick Stuzle or Byfield.

Picking 4th is not too bad even though the hope was to win the lottery.

/E Nothing against Sanderson but if you are picking 4th overall I think you are looking for a higher ceiling.

i really dont care who we draft if its between drysdale, perfetti, rossi, raymond, stutzle, byfield. but i think yzerman goes with a forward for us. but we'll see, cant go wrong with any of those guys though.
If i were running the team i'd rank it like this though:
1. Stutzle
2a. Raymond
2b. Byfield
3. Rossi
4. Perfetti
5. Drysdale

Stutzle at 4 would be incredible.

Have to agree with you. In that range there is a lot of good players available and you could put together an argument for any one of them.
