I wonder if MTL is thinking along these lines. That is, the goal now is simply GET IN the playoffs. So if that means you need to buy a couple extra wins with a good backup goalie, you do it.
The thought process being that would be the difference between you missing the playoffs by two points or sneaking in.
I think it's a decent strategy if that's what they're doing.

he played good hockey for us and apparently him and hart get along really good
the best 1-2 punch flyers have had in like ever since ive been a fan lol
plus i dont think they want anything too long term for the backup we got some pretty decent prospects that in 2-3 seasons might be nhl ready
