Oilers have 1 more point and 2 more games played, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see they went with points percentage. It's the obvious way to do it too. Basing it on total points would be retarded.

i guess it wont be a 'bye' as it will be more of a free entry. Cuz from what i understand during the best of 5 play in round, the 'bye' teams will be playing round robin to determine seeding, i guess.
