Relationship between Management and Scouting Staff responsible for Hughes/Petterson in Vancouver has deteriorated

JD Burke is stating that around the league, the feeling is the relationship between management and the scouting staff is beyond repairable.

Apparently during last years draft, Vancouver scouting staff really want Poldozkin. However, Management grew a liking for Philip Broberg after U18's , someone who Vancouver staff had doubts that he'd even make the NHL and that he would have to be moved to the wing on the 4th line due to the lack of defensive game.

However, Edmonton took that player 8th overall leaving Poldkozin for Vancouver. After the first round and before the second round, apparently management tinkered with the draft board that Vancouver scouts had worked months on.

It would be really really stupid of Benning if he got rid of Brackett and other scouts that were responsible for the jackpot picks. Seems like Bracketts extension isn't happening and gonna walk to help another team out. Ggrip

To be fair though, Brackett has been with the team since gillis Era and sucked balls, although he wasn't the director or anything but a scout for the team so probably didn't have much input. So who knows, only if they could continue to work together.... Literally filled our shitty ass prospect cupboard into something decent in such short time.

I assume this bit was about Podkolzin? Broberg is a defenseman, so it would be weird that they thought theyd have to transition him into a 4th line forward... Lol
