Maybe but no player on the market would have an impact on the team for a 1st atm

There are plenty of players that are/could be available. And with the cap room Columbus has, no one is out of their reach. I can see them landing a Gaborik, Bouwmeester, or Boyle

also, 3 first rounders are sick, you can get sick players for that

Yeah but what do you do 5 years down the line when you already have good young players and a bunch of first rounders come up for contract renewal?

panthers had 3 first rounders 2-3 years ago, i dont think it will cripple the team too much

Unless CBJ doesn't think they need to rebuild right now. If the team can make playoffs, the opportunity cost of holding those picks skyrockets.

If you have a bunch of first rounders you also have tons of money since your team blows and you're probably near the floor.
As long as you're not stupid like Oilers management tossing out huge contracts all at once, you'll be fine.
