Well you cannot do that until you start eating more , you should get really lean AND lift .

Get lean and lift or let lean then lift?

Lifting while cutting will not cause you to gain muscle, but will help you retain it.
You WILL lose both fat and muscle while cutting, but the goal is to maximize fat loss while retaining as much muscle as you can.
Do this by using your muscles (basically telling your body "hey bitch I still need these yo") as well as keeping a healthy and high protein diet.
And try not to drop more than 1 to 1.5 pounds per week or your fat/muscle loss ratio will suffer.

I work out in a gym occasionally, but mostly just do exercise at home.

Nothing heavy duty. Yet I have gained quite a bit of muscle and am quite a bit stronger I would say.

I have certainly lost lots of fat as well. You are blowing my mind lol.

Mind explaining how it is hard/impossible to gain muscle while losing fat, lol?

Have to head out, will be home at in 9 hours to give you a detailed explanation, but I'm sure dirtyman can fill you in if he's still here.

Youre not doing a complete cut. You probably eat healthier than before but probably eat as much or even less, hence why you probably gain a bit of muscle and losing some fat
