As I said, the trades are craps shoots. And Hextall isn't exactly known for his trades, but rather his in system growth, which he is doing pretty good with. He is refusing to let go of the future right now. Once Timonen went out, did you really expect the defense to do much of anything?

We have a slow growth team that will in 1-2 years have G and Voracek(who are both still pretty young) as our leaders and veterans with a strong and young puck moving defense(we see them getting better month by month).

There is no need to try to force things right now. Within the next 2 years, we will still have a solid G in Mason and Stolie should be ready for at LEAST a backup role.

Just let Hexy draft some Wingers and we'll be money.

hextall might not draft winger he believes D is the key to winning and yes homer started to not trade off our picks and draft and hextall will just add to that which is good in the cap era you need to develop from within

doesnt change the fact we got like 6 centers and none can play wing for shit ... when you have that many nhl roster players for 1 position (3 fighting for the 2c slot) you trade them to bring in what you need whether its a lw or upgrade on D or picks
but no on top of that they bring up laughton and start using him as the 2c ... like WHAT THE FUCK somebody has to be traded whether its vinny b schenn laughton i dont care somebody has to fuckin go our roster is fucked with all these centers
and the d when tim ocomes back we will prob be over the cap with the 9 d contracts we have... i expect a d man to be moved t omake space for timo and when he retires it opens up a spot for morin next season

I really really like Laughton. He has paid dividends and he isn't great, but he isn't bad in the faceoff circle. For a guy that is what? 20? Winning 48% of faceoffs is pretty solid with room to improve.

i like all 3 of them tbh but the lines need to be fixed and berube cant do fuck all with all these centers sucking ass on wing
vinny prob be hard to trade i like laughton more then schenn so that leaves schenn as the most expendable imo ... hes young already got years of nhl experience hes got value to get what we want/need
but i feel if u trade him u almost gotta package the bros together and luke prob - value from the deal lol so laughton might be the easiest choice to move throw b schenn 2c and have g-schenn-couts-bellmare/vinny? as the 4 centers


its a fucked up situation for hextall to be in but then again its not becasue hes got all these cards to play...but if he doesnt play them and folds flyers franchise is going to struggle hard through the primes of guys like g+v while we have a #1 ect ect
thers no need for that all hes gotta do is make a move or 2 stop drafting centers for a few years and things straighten out and were set for a good amount of time
